If I consider music a phenomenon and one of the original forces in the artistic creation, right from here, from this music, the road leads directly into the silent and contemplative world of Nicoletta Braccioni’s thoughts and forms. She is capable of animating sacred and profane spaces with her universal and eternal art, her fantastic figures of terracotta, metal and untreated wood reflecting human affliction in a wondrously and dimly abstract way.

It is not for anything unusual, if Nicoletta Braccioni (unconsciously or in calculated way) leaves to be B-A-C-H to influence her work as a guiding theme. Avoiding – like Bach – the flapping, the art of the sculptress and ceramist is on the just road to cross the threshold of immortality, not only by her spiritual simplicity and professional honesty, refusing the fashions, but as well by her lack of compromise in her choice and elaboration of themes, material and form, always recognising herself.

The art of Nicoletta Braccioni is a tentative sensing and in the same time a courageous sampling of every real creative force to be discharged into the very world, that every artist is obliged to create for himself in order to survive mentally and physically. Only by surviving the human and artistic crisis, incomprehension and worldly success the artist will truly be close to the reality of true being. And with him all the related souls and curious, anxious spirits, who are able to comprehend this.

So is it absurd, if therefore I interpret some works of Nicoletta Braccioni like a prayer, even more, as a invitation to a silent prayer that asks for redemption, love, peace and more humanity?
